HDC Hosts Lunch and Learn

A good crowd was on hand Wednesday, August 23rd in the training room of the Southeast Arkansas Human Development Center for another program of "Lunch &  Learn."  Periodically the Center host a healthy lunch and has a program of some type that is educational in nature.  The program for the 23rd was presented by Emily English who works for the Arkansas Children's Research Institute.
She talked about development and maintenance of small gardens to grow healthy and fresh food.

The Human Development Center is in the process of creating a community garden and conducting a farmers market.  Volunteers and organizations are being sought to assist with the garden.  Any one interested should contact Dana Harvey at the Center.

The program went into some detail on how to start a garden and the best practices to follow in growing healthy and fresh food.
